It was exhibited in “Times Image— China Fashion Art 1993-2012” that was jointly sponsored by China Silk Museum, Trends Media Group and China Fashion Designers Association in Beijing in September 2013, and was donated to China Silk Museum for permanent collection.Design concept: the inspiration for creating this work derives from Tangka which represents the unique charm of excellent intangible cultural heritage in Tibet. The faith in Buddhism is expressed in the form of garment art which carries forward and originates the unique painting art form in Tibetan culture. Organza is adopted to form unapparent combination between figure of Buddha and human body that looks like Buddha in one’s heart, featuring perfect physical and mental integration.

It was exhibited in “Times Image— China Fashion Art 1993-2012” that was jointly sponsored by China Silk Museum, Trends Media Group and China Fashion Designers Association in Beijing in September 2013, and was donated to China Silk Museum for permanent collection.Created in 1989, it was awarded First Prize in the 1st Chinese Youth Garment Design Prix.In 1995, it was improved and used as the costume worn by singer Peng Liyuan when singing The Butterfly Lovers at the gala evening celebrating the 50th Anniversary of CCTV.The design concept derives from Chinese traditional paper fan. Modern 3D design method is applied to make the “folding fan” rotate and fluctuate around the performer, looking holy, pure and romantic, just like what Swan Lake is. Being concise and flexible, it reflects the rhythm and wisdom of integrating oriental elegance with western romance.

The final of “Xinshijiazu Cup • 2013 China Home Wear Design Competition” was successfully held in Guangzhou, which was jointly sponsored by China Knitting Industry Association and Guangdong Kedie Garment Co., Ltd. and was organized by Shantou Fashionable Home Wear Research Institute and Shantou Nice Cultural Media Co., Ltd. On the evening of the final, Liu Yang and other judges appeared at the site and strictly appraised the works of top 10 competitors who had been elaborately selected. Liu Yang affirmed the success of the competition and hoped that the competitors would pay more attention to the international popular trend and experience consumers’ living state.

On the afternoon of August 22, the final of the First “Huayin Union Cup” National School Wear Design Competition themed with “Green Fashion and Rhythm Campus” was held in Taiyuan as scheduled. As the priority of the first national school wear expo, this “Fashion Show” belonging to the teenagers attracted nearly one thousand audiences. Liu Yang attended the final together with the following leaders and guests: Liu Bin (former vice director of China Educational Commission and concurrent honorary chairman of China Educational Equipment Industry Association), Wang Fu (chairman of China Educational Equipment Industry Association and concurrent executive vice director of Committee for the Wellbeing of the Youth under Ministry of Education), Ni Yangsheng (director of National Textile & Garment Vocational Education and Teaching Guidance Commission under Ministry of Education and concurrent chairman of China Association of Textile and Garment Education), Zhang Xinzhou (vice head of China Education Press Agency), Wu Baowang (deputy-departmental inspector of Educational Department of Shanxi Province), Qiao Yuquan (head of Technical Equipment Division under Department II of Basic Education, Ministry of Education), Mr. Wei Lin (vice chairman of China National Garment Association) and Xia Guoming (secretary-general of China Education Equipment Industry Association), etc.
