The works of China's top fashion designers shown to the public in the Wangfujing

"Superpower's Fashion, Dancers on the Spire of the Industry", organized by the China Fashion Designers Association, for the first time showcased China's top fashion designers' works to the public in Wangfujing. Works of China's top ten fashion designers including Liu Yang, Wu Haiyan, Zhang Zhaoda, Wu Xuewei, Liang Zi were shown in the exhibition. The public had the chance for the first time to be able to appreciate the works of the masters up close. This is a meaningful effort to improve the aesthetic level of the public.

At the invitation of Hangzhou Fashion Designers Association, Liu Yang served as a judge for the COCOON Cup International Women's Fashion Designers Competition. Liu Yang, together with experts and professors including China's top ten commentator Tian Zhanguo, China Top Ten Fashion Designers Deng Hao, Wang Yutao, Zhejiang University of Technology Professor Qian Qier, conducted a rigorous review of the candidates. Liu Yang had served as chief judge of many domestic competitions. He spoke highly of this contest, and awarded high marks for the Hangzhou government's determination and courage in creating fashion brand culture and cultivating fashion design talents.

Guangzhou TIT Fashion Park welcomed the visit of China's top leader—President Hu Jintao.General Secretary Hu Jintao, accompanied by leaders including provincial party secretary Wang Yang, Mayor Zhang Guangning, Li Zhixin and Chen Shaohui, Chairmen of Guangzhou Textile Industry and Trade Enterprise Group Co., Ltd., visited the construction work and development of the park. Liu Yang, on behalf of China’s renowned fashion designers, made reports of the design and fashion work to the General Secretary Hu Jintao, who had a cordial conversation with him. This is for the first time that a Chinese fashion designer was met by the country's highest leaders, so it gave a great inspiration to the apparel industry.

On the evening of December 5, 2010 China Mobile Guangzhou Asian Games Table Tennis Culture Festival Closing Ceremony and Awards Gala was held in South China Normal University Concert Hall in Guangzhou University City. The ceremony was organized by the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee, the International Table Tennis Federation, the International Table Tennis Federation Museum, jointly organized by China Mobile Guangzhou Branch, assisted by the China Table Tennis Association and Guangzhou Table Tennis Association. Liu Yang, serving as a artistic adviser for 2010 China Mobile Guangzhou Table Tennis Culture Festival and a senior adviser for Asian Games Organizing Committee, attended the closing ceremony and awards gala together with guests including Fang Xiaocong, the music consultant of the Asian Games Organizing Committee, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Asian Organizing Committee Theme Song Solicitation Committee, Liu Jing, Chief Executive of Guangzhou Asian Games Opening and Closing Ceremony, Xie Chaojie, table tennis world champion, government officials, famous CCTV director Zhao Hongwei, foreign friends and consul generals of many countries in Guangzhou, and business celebrities. Liu Yang then made an enthusiastic speech to the first Table Tennis Culture Festival.

In Guangzhou, December 10, 2010, the Asian Paralympics torch was passed in the Baiyun Mountain. No. 68 torchbearer Liu Yang, on behalf of fashion designers, successfully completed the task of the torch relay. The street was full of cheering crowd, waving the flag, shouting "Cheers to Liu Yang! Hooray, China!" This honor is not just Liu Yang's, it is also all fashion designers’!
