Liu Yang won the 1st Guangdong Fashion Promotion Award.

Liu Yang, who has the temperament of stars, is one of the most typical garment designers in modern China. His charm and talent has influenced a generation of Chinese young garment designers. He has not only made the professional image of garment designers known to the public, but also led professionals in music, movie and other fields to engage in garment industry and promoted integration and development of the great fashion circle. At the award-issuing evening & closing ceremony of “FTC Fashion Night” Guangdong Fashion Week on the night of August 26, Liu Yang won the 1st Guangdong Fashion Promotion Award together with Li Kailuo (famous Chinese economic research expert in fashion industry), Mao Jihong (initiator of “EXCEPTION de MIXMIND” and founder of “FANGSUO”) and Hu Qiming (initiator of “GOELIA” and founder of “Concept 225”).

Liu Yang acted as the jury president at the quarter-final of the 8th COCOON Cup Prize China International Women’s Wear Designer Contest

 Liu Yang was invited by Hangzhou Fashion Designers Association to act as the jury president at the quarter-final for the 8th COCOON Cup Prize China International Women’s Wear Designer Contest on August 1, 2012. The jury consisted of several fashion celebrities including famous designers such as Qi Gang, Zou You, Gioia Pan (Taiwanand Zhang Zhijian, Tian Zhanguo (famous fashion commentator) and Dr. Li Yuxin (psychological advisor). They appraised and selected the contestants in a strict manner. The strict promotion system of the contest is worthy of promotion and popularization because it can ensure the selection of talented contestants! The contest might be painstaking, but it is beneficial to hold it!

Guangzhou TIT Creative Park held the first T-Force Contest

China's first true international original Fashion Designer T-FORCE Contest was held grandly on April 21, 2012. It was organized by the Guangzhou TIT Creative Park, assisted by Faxin Fashion International Institute, planned and executed by the Paris TUDOO Fashion Planning Ltd. On behalf of TIT Creative Park, Liu Yang, one of the China's top ten designers, screened works from more than 20 national candidates. Since February On the evening of that day, Liu Yang served as the contest's main judge, and conducted intensive assessment. Fang Weichi, a Chinese designer who studied in France took the highest award from the hands of Liu Yang. Liu Yang commented that this original creation contest was very successful. Though he saw some gap between works of China’s and foreign ones, he also saw the promising future of China’s fashion.

Liu Yang served as a jury member for the "Hempel Award" the 20th China International Young Fashion Designers Contest

"Hempel Award" the 20th China International Young Fashion Designers Contest finally came to an end. Liu Yang, together with famous scholars and experts from China, France, Germany, Spain, South Korea, Russia, composed a strong panel of judges and did face-to-face reviews with candidates from over 20 countries. The works "Reverse" of Zhou Juyan from China's Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, won the gold medal. Chairmen Liu Yang and Liu Yuanfeng, the only two Chinese judges in the international jury commented they were very pleased with remarkable achievements made by the Chinese candidates. Liu Yang said he saw the growth and potential of the Chinese designers judging from a large number of works.
